The Mediaplayer X9 is the ultimate multimedia solution available at this moment! Free streaming of the newest movies, series and sport by the internet. For this E-Mail project I like to share my research and the final execution.
An E-Mail Creative have a lot of different aspects that effects the performance of the result. With the E-Mail marketer we evaluate the progress of the E-Mail flow. To gain ourselves some learnings we did a weekly A/B split test of 2 Email Creatives.
Here is a checklist of our activities
- We tryout different subject lines to find the best Open Rate for the E-Mail (The percentage of consumers that open the E-Mail) The trick is to find the correct “tone of voice” that attract the consumers. Likely an urgency subject line for not missing a deal or a teasing line to create curiosity.
- Furthermore we did another separate test to send a second drop with a different subject line to consumers who didn’t open their E-Mail in the first drop.
- Targeting the correct consumer segmentation. Searching for relevant consumers that have potential with our product. The deeper you get to know the behaviour of this group, the better the result.
- We change different content texts to find a better connection with the consumer
- The use of different visuals formats in the creatives
Summary
The use of a GIF animation enhancing everything from news stories to websites to even emails. While these video-photo hybrids are a fun visual treat for consumers, marketers are using GIF animation as a valuable way to showcase products that a static photo just can’t do justice.
Challenge
The Mediaplayer X9 is not a well known brand that consumers can associate compare with others. Another problem to marketing this product is that a streaming device belong to a new breed of watching television. This make it difficult to explain to potential buyers.
E-Mail Campaign
To explain the use of the Mediaplayer X9 we provide a demonstration what the product can do. To showcase in an animation we notice the consumer a simple way to watch your favoriete content. With the use from a GIF we can animate a quick previews of actractive blockbuster content for the consumer. I think that this is the best way to communicate quickly about the product cause people are visual learners.
We want to make sure we providing an experience for the consumers that is engaging and they want to click on. Also famous movie titles will benefit the promotion of the Mediaplayer X9
E-Mail Example
Result
Compared to different A/B split tests we find a following lift in Open Rate, Click Rate and Conversion Rate. I am excited with all the effort we spent to achieve this amazing result. We love the new advantage of a GIF and we continue to find new opportunities to grow our learnings.
